Why you shouldn't buy a DSi

First of all, this is not an Anti-Nintendo rant. If you know me at all, I'm sure you already knew that. I'm just trying to save you guys some money.

Just get a DS Lite when the price drops to the magical $99.99. I've had mine for three(or so) years. Works as well as the day I bought it. The DSi's "features" are nothing more than tacked-on gimmicks trying to improve something that doesn't need improving.

---Dumb---
Two 2 megapixel cameras: Congrats, two sub-cellphone cameras
Music player: can't play MP3s hurrrrrrr durrrrrrrrrr
Thinner: no GBA slot = removal of functions in 10+ DS games
Internet capable: Bad Opera browser, enjoy waiting five minutes to get to Google

---Good---
DSware: You can download cool stuff from the internet such as games
Style: better finish, sunken-in buttons, the on/off switch is a button, and the volume is now in button form.
Screen size: The screens are slightly larger (very slightly)

DS Lite: $129.99 NOW, will drop to $99.99 by May
DSi: $169.99 at release

Now there may be a handful of games out there that implement the camera or some shit (my guess would be a Warioware micro game). However it is highly doubtful because then Nintendo would sell very few of those games as not many people would be able to play it as many people will just keep their Lite rather than buying a DSi.

Also for my FRIENDS WHO BOUGHT GBA GAMES AND WANT TO PLAY THEM ON THE DS BUT CANNOT SO MAY WANT TO USE ROMS OF THE GAMES THAT THEY HAD LEGALLY PURCHASED FROM A LICENSED RETAILER out there, the use of that card in the side that you can put music and pictures on will inevitably be used for ROMs. However, it is not clear with the DSi's capabilities if it will be able to emulate GBA games.

Well that ends my little rant there. I don't typically write these. If I made any mistakes or wrote mis-information, please inform me and I will fix it immediately.

It was not a matter of importance though, many people have not seen the ocean.
